Role <strong>of</strong> the supervisorYour supervisor’s role is to guide and support you through the <strong>Personal</strong> <strong>Project</strong>. You will benotified <strong>of</strong> your supervisor during Term 1. You are also able to have a mentor to supportyou through the project. This person may be a friend, colleague, relative, neighbour oranyone who has an interest or expertise in your chosen area <strong>of</strong> interest (that you aredeveloping through your <strong>Personal</strong> <strong>Project</strong>) Remember that the <strong>Project</strong> should be your ownwork.You are required to maintain regular contact with your supervisor, at least once a term isrecommended. It is your responsibility to make contact with your supervisor. It is a goodidea to set appointments via email so that confirmation <strong>of</strong> times is always at hand. Emailscan be included in your process journal.The supervisor is not expected to be an expert in your chosen project (area <strong>of</strong> interest), norexpected to do your project for you. They are facilitators who will support and guide you onyour learning journey.5
