Person (s) would be engaged for a fixed period and provid<strong>in</strong>g high qualityservices to the BPR&D and for attend<strong>in</strong>g to specific and time-bound jobs.Pr<strong>of</strong>essionals with requisite qualifications and <strong>retired</strong> <strong>government</strong> employees withrelevant experience as prescribed would be hired.2. The contractual appo<strong>in</strong>tment <strong>of</strong> persons would be <strong>in</strong>itially for a period asmentioned <strong>in</strong> the advertisement and extension decided as per requirement <strong>of</strong> theBureau and merit <strong>of</strong> each case. The contractual appo<strong>in</strong>tment <strong>of</strong> Consultants would beon full-time basis.3. The educational qualification and eligibility conditions are given <strong>in</strong> Annexure-I. The persons so appo<strong>in</strong>ted on contract basis shall not be entitled to any allowance.4. Maximum age for hold<strong>in</strong>g contractual appo<strong>in</strong>tment to the respective posts<strong>in</strong>BPR&D shallbe for one year or atta<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g the age <strong>of</strong> 65 years or till regular <strong>in</strong>cumbentjo<strong>in</strong> whichever is earlier.5. Drawl <strong>of</strong> pension:- A <strong>retired</strong> Government Official appo<strong>in</strong>ted shall cont<strong>in</strong>ue todraw pension and the dearness relief on pension dur<strong>in</strong>g the period <strong>of</strong> his appo<strong>in</strong>tment<strong>in</strong> BPR&D. The appo<strong>in</strong>tment will not be considered as a case <strong>of</strong> re-employment.6. Person shall be eligible for 8 days <strong>of</strong> casual leave <strong>in</strong> a calendar year on proratabasis to be sanctioned by the competent authority. Leave entitlement <strong>of</strong> the appo<strong>in</strong>teeshall, however, be governed by the Central Government orders <strong>in</strong> this regard.7. A contractual appo<strong>in</strong>tee shall not draw any remuneration <strong>in</strong> case <strong>of</strong> his/herabsence beyond 8 days <strong>in</strong> Year (calculate on a pro-rata basis). Also un-availed leave<strong>in</strong> a calendar year cannot be carried forward to next calendar year. The CompetentAuthority would be free to term<strong>in</strong>ate the services <strong>in</strong> case <strong>of</strong> absence <strong>of</strong> a person bymore than 15 days beyond the entitled leave <strong>in</strong> a calendar year.8. No TA/DA shall be admissible for jo<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g the appo<strong>in</strong>tment on contractualbasis.

Mode <strong>of</strong> Selection:9. The selection <strong>of</strong> candidates <strong>in</strong> each category will be made through <strong>in</strong>terviewfrom the short listed applicants received <strong>in</strong> response to the advertisement. The<strong>in</strong>terview will be organized by BPR&D through a Committee <strong>of</strong> Officers to beconstituted with the approval <strong>of</strong> the Director General, BPR&D. Separate applicationshould be submitted for each post.Conditions <strong>of</strong> award:10. (a) The contractual persons will be attached to BPR&D HQrs located <strong>in</strong>New Delhi or its outly<strong>in</strong>g units located at different stations <strong>in</strong> the country.(b) The duties to be given to the contractual persons will be decided by thecompetent authority, BPR&D.Term<strong>in</strong>ation11.
