Our core service delivery continues to focus on theimportance <strong>of</strong> healthy and active living for all ages and lifestyles.Stu MacFadyenIt is widely recognized that being active has many benefits, froma personal, social, environmental and economic point <strong>of</strong> view andour Committee is committed to providing residents with a widerange <strong>of</strong> opportunities to engage in leisure activities <strong>of</strong> theirchoice. Our facilities, programs and services reflect the changingdemand and trends in sports and recreation.Our committee, which includes leaders in our community, providesoversight to the staff <strong>of</strong> the Parks and Recreation Departmentto ensure quality experiences. We also acknowledge andthank the many dedicated volunteers for their commitment toa variety <strong>of</strong> grassroots programs and services that would not bepossible without their support and leadership.Dave MacDonaldThe Parks and Recreation Department consists <strong>of</strong> a managementteam that oversees direct delivery programs, facility operationsand park management <strong>of</strong> over 55 properties.
