Precision shafts www.lmotion.ru skf@lmotion.ru Тел. (495)-921-34-60SKF precision shafts can be suppliedeither as solid or hollow shafts. Solidshafts are available in all dimensionsrequired to fit SKF linear ball bearings;hollow shafts have a minimumouter diameter of 16 mm. Theyare induction hardened and ground(see table on next page). SKF shaftshave exceptionally high dimensionalstability and are designed for longservice life. The shaft ends of normal shaft productionmay deviate in hardnessand dimension accuracy. For specialapplications, solid shafts of stainlesssteel or hard chromium plated shaftswith a chromium coating of approximately10 µm thickness can be supplied.Note that the surface of astainless steel shaft is not as hard asthe surface of a shaft made of highgradesteel. The case depth may alsobe greater than indicated in the tableand this may have an influence onthe machinability of the shafts. Becauseof the benefits they offer, SKFprecision shafts are not only used togetherwith SKF linear ball bearingsfor linear guides, but are also usedfor other applications like axles or columnsleeves.MaterialsSKF precision shafts are made fromnon-alloyed high-grade steels Cf53(Material No.1.1213), Ck53 (MaterialNo.1.1210), Ck60 (MaterialNo.1.1221) and 100Cr6 (MaterialNo.12067). The surface hardness isbetween 60 and 64 HRC. Solid stainlesssteel shafts are made fromX9OCrMoV18 (Material No.1.4112)or X46Cr13 (Material No.1.4034). Inthis case the surface hardness liesbetween 52 and 56 HRC. Shafts madefrom other materials can be suppliedto special order.Surface finishAll SKF precision steel shafts have asurface roughness of max. R a 0,3 µm.52
