May this 171 st anniversary <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> first Mass in <strong>Adelaide</strong> fill us withthanksgiving, and help us to prepare for <strong>the</strong> future so that <strong>the</strong>Eucharist remains at <strong>the</strong> heart <strong>of</strong> our life as Catholics.Lord, hear us.2. May <strong>the</strong>re be a genuine spirit <strong>of</strong> penance in our lives so that suchdiscipline helps to keep us faithful to a good moral life.Lord, hear us.4. That those who are preoccupied with fashion and beautymay come to understand that a person’s true worth is foundin <strong>the</strong> heart and not in what <strong>the</strong>y wear or how <strong>the</strong>y look.Lord, hear us.3. That those who over indulge in food and those who are wasteful,may come to accept that we all have a responsibility t<strong>of</strong>eed <strong>the</strong> hungry and share our daily bread.Lord, hear us.4.
