For Archbishop Wilson and all priests and deacons in theArchdiocese of Adelaide, that the Holy Spirit may enable themto proclaim Christ crucified and risen.Lord, hear us.3. For the religious of the Church(and especially those on our own parish)that in Holy Spirit they may show forth the simplicity,compassionand understanding of Christ.Lord, hear us.4. For all lay Catholics,empowered by the Holy Spirit in baptism and confirmation,that they may witness to Christ and his law of lovein the world.Lord, hear us.5. For those nations experiencing political upheaval andviolence, especially Libya, Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan, andYemen,that the Holy Spirit will guide all to peace and justice.Lord, hear us.6. For the needs of asylum seekers in Australia and around theworld,that the Holy Spirit will give to governments and citizens goodattitudes of hospitality, respect and understanding.Lord, hear us.7. May those who seek revenge because of what others have done,receive the grace to forgive, thereby entrusting the other to thejustice and mercy of Christ.Lord, hear us.3. May we have that personal integrity which prays good things forothers, never wishing harm upon any person.Lord, hear us.4. May we learn from Jesus how to be truly generous towards others,seeking no personal reward, but rejoicing in his love.Lord, hear us.5. May those who administer justice – our governments,police forces, courts and prison officials – do so with great care,so that there is the opportunity for people to changeand be rehabilitated.Lord, hear us.6. That refugees who have made their home in our parish may receivea warm welcome and friendship from our community.Lord, hear us.5. May prayer be sincerely offered in this Eucharistand also in the quiet of our own secret places.Lord, hear us.3. May there be a genuine spirit of penance in our lives so that suchdiscipline helps to keep us faithful to a good moral life.Lord, hear us.4. May refugees who have settled in Australia, and especially in ourown parish, be warmly welcomed, and find support in their localcommunities so that they can feel at home among us.Lord, hear us.5. We pray for a genuine spirit of forgivenessbetween peoples of different faith and religion,that together we may all seek justice and live in mercy.Lord, hear us.5. We pray for the leaders of African nations, on thisInternational Day of the African Child,that they may work together to stamp out child labourand provide health care, education and housing for them.Lord, hear us.6. That those who over indulge in food and those who are wasteful,may come to accept that we all have a responsibility tofeed the hungry and share our daily bread.Lord, hear us.4. That the refugees who now live in our parish may be treated withrespect and kindness and quickly feel part of the community.Lord, hear us.5.
