The new Northeast Districtserves the northeast quadrant of Polk County, andcurrently has a temporary headquarters locatedat 45589 US Hwy 27 North in Davenport. OnOctober 14, 2008, a ground breaking ceremonyfor the new Northeast District permanentheadquarters on Dunson Road was held. Theproperty was donated through a partnershipeffort between PCSO, the Polk County Board ofCounty Commissioners, Albertson International,Inc., and Centrecorp, Inc.Community PartnershipsIn 2007, PCSO contracted to provideprofessional law enforcement and supportservices with four municipalities-Eagle Lake,Frostproof, Fort Meade, and Polk City. In 2008,Dundee contracted with PCSO for the samelevel of professional law enforcement services,while the cities of Auburndale, Lake Wales,Davenport, and Winter Haven contractedto provide dispatching services through thePCSO Telecommunications Center. Thesepartnerships proved invaluable throughout2008.
