HealthyBlue — The BasicsAs a HealthyBlue member, you’re now part of the health care program that brings together the healthbenefits you want and the cost savings you need, with the goal of keeping you healthy. And, as youwould expect from CareFirst BlueChoice, you have access to a large network of quality providers withwhich to partner.HealthyBlue enables you to choose when, how and by whom your health care is administered. To ensureyou receive the highest level of benefit, both in your health and in your wallet, select an In-Networkprovider when you need care. You may also receive your care from out-of-network providers, but youmay have to pay higher costs for this added flexibility.HealthyBlue 2.0 PlansYou have the freedom to visit any doctorwith any HealthyBlue 2.0 plan, regardless ofwhether they participate in one of CareFirst’sprovider networks. However, greater flexibilitycomes with higher costs to you, so be sure youunderstand the difference between a CareFirstBlueChoice network provider and an out-ofnetworkprovider.HealthyBlue 2.0In-Networkyou pay: $Visit any CareFirst BlueChoice provider. No referrals required.CareFirst BlueChoice Provider NetworkOut-of-Networkyou pay: $$Visit any CareFirst PPO NetworkProviderVisit a Non-Participating Provider.Balance billing may apply.CareFirst Preferred ProviderOrganization (PPO) NetworkNon-Participating ProviderHealthyBlue Advantage PlansRemember, with the HealthyBlue Advantageplans, you have choices and control.
