Figure 1 - Circular GTIN hierarchy5 NEW FUNCTIONALITIES5.1 End User Licence Agreement (EULA)ECCnet Registry Release 10.5 will include the implementation of a EULA for ProSYNC® users.The EULA will lay out the Terms of Use for ECCnet ProSYNC®. It will be presented to each userfor review and acceptance at the time of first login to ECCnet ProSYNC®. Subsequent logins willnot require EULA acceptance, unless there are changes to EULA content and /or version.5.2 Disable Auto PublicationA new functionality will be implemented for EDI Suppliers in the ECCnet ProSYNC® UserInterface: an EDI Supplier will have an option to ‘Disable Auto Publication’. By disablingpublication of an entire catalogue or selection code(s), a Supplier stops auto publication withoutwithdrawing all previously published data.The “Disable Auto Publication” button will be available in the ProSYNC® User Interface underEDI Supplier Publication tab (where auto publications are set and/or withdrawn). 5.3 Publication to a Third-Party Data Recipient 15.3.1 Identification of Third Party Data RecipientIn ECCnet Registry Release 10.5, ECCnet Registry will be enhanced with a number of featuresthat will allow Suppliers to clearly distinguish Third Party Data Recipients among availableTrading Partners in ECCnet Registry. Third Party Data Recipients will be visually identified (witha note beside the company name). Implications of publication to a Third Party Data Recipient willbe displayed whenever Suppliers are engaging in data synchronization with a Third Party DataRecipient.5.3.2 GTIN Publication to a Third Party Data RecipientA warning message, requiring a confirmation to continue with the transaction, will pop up at thetime when a Supplier is publishing GTIN(s) to a Third Party Data Recipient from the ECCnetProSYNC® User Interface.5.3.3 Auto Publication to Third Party Data Recipients: Publication of EntireCatalogue/Publication by Selection Code (Auto-Publication)The following functional changes apply to EDI Suppliers only:• EDI Supplier will not be able to publish entire catalogue or selection code to a DataRecipient that is identified as a Third Party Data Recipient;• EDI Supplier will only be able to publish data to a Third Party Data Recipient on a GTINby GTIN basis; and• EDI Supplier will be enabled to “Disable Auto Publication” to a Third Party DataRecipient.5.3.4 Third Party Data Recipient and Market GroupsThird Party Data Recipient cannot be added to any of the market groups.If a Third Party Data Recipient is a part of a Supplier’s market group, the Supplier will not be ableto publish data to the market group until he/she removes the Third Party Data Recipient(s) fromthe market group. A message requesting to remove a Third Party Data Recipient from a marketgroup will pop up upon publication to the market group.5.4 Enhancement to Search FunctionalitySearch functionality in ECCnet ProSYNC® and ECCnet Registry will be enhanced enabling fulland partial search by AHFS code, DIN-HM, and/or NPN.1 A Third Party, in the context of ECCnet Registry, is a data recipient that is not necessarily a Supplier’strading partner and can potentially reuse or redistribute the product data.ECCnet Registry Release Notes 10.5 Page 9 of 21

6 DATA REMEDIATION6.1 Data Remediation for Suppliers That Have Market GroupsAs a part of ECCnet Registry Release 10.5, GS1 Canada will remediate on behalf of all Suppliersthat have a Third Party as a Data Recipient in any of the Market Groups.These Data Recipients will be removed from the Market Groups, as a part of the data remediationprocess. Third Party Data Recipients will remain as the Supplier’s trading partners.Important Note: Suppliers that object to data remediation to be performed on their behalf by GS1Canada must notify and request GS1 Canada to keep their Third Party Data Recipients in theirmarket groups. The request should be sent by email to customer support atECCnetSupport@gs1ca.org no later than September 28, 2012.The email subject line should include the words “Third Party Data Recipient”.6.2 Data Remediation for Retired Code List ValuesIf one or more of the retired code list values are currently available in a Supplier’s product data,the product’s compliancy status will be set to ‘non-compliant’, which will result in datasynchronization being stopped. Suppliers will need to provide new values for those attributes.For example, if Dosage Form attribute value is currently set to ‘Aerosol, solution’, the status of theproduct will be ‘non-compliant, because ‘Aerosol, solution’ will no longer be a valid value forDosage Form attribute. The Supplier will have to select a new value from the list of Valid CodeList Values for Dosage Form attribute to attain ‘compliant’ status for the product. Please note that there will no longer be validation for DIN and NPN to be mutuallyexclusive. This is because the new structure of Drug and Health Product Details sectionwill prevent entering both DIN and NPN for the same Drug and Health Product Detailssection. As a result, if Suppliers, using 9.6 DIT version, provide both DIN and NPN forthe same Drug and Health Product Details section, only NPN will be accepted andsaved in ECCnet Registry.
