Going for GreenFollowing the renewal in 2004 of UNU’s ISO14001 certification, in March 2005 UNUCentre and UNU-IAS completed the ISO14001 periodic audit of the UNU environmentalmanagement system with registrar DNV Japan. This environmental management systemhas continued to support UNU’s research and capacity-building agenda in environment andsustainable development by improving workplace practices at UNU Centre in Tokyo andUNU-IAS in Yokohama. UNU was the first UN agency (and the fifth academic institution inJapan) to obtain ISO14001 certification.
