The conference is beingjointly sponsored by Uhde GmbH <strong>and</strong> Otto Simon Limited.The conference brochure lists the thirteen technical presentations that will be givenduring the afternoon of 4 th April <strong>and</strong> the morning of 5 th April on a wide range of topicsrelating to the manufacture coke <strong>and</strong> by-products <strong>and</strong> their impact on the environment.In order to recover basic costs, COMA has decided to set a small registration fee of £30*per person. This registration fee will not be applicable to conference presenters or thehost’s (Tata Steel Scunthorpe) current employees.During the 2012 coke conference there was a most enjoyable dinner held at the TallTrees, Yarm that was a very successful networking event. It is planned to enhance thisevent by exp<strong>and</strong>ing it into a social reunion for retired members, who would be mostwelcome at the Forest Pines Hotel even though they may not wish to attend theconference presentation sessions. The charge for the dinner is £28.50* per head.* In order to confirm orders with the caterers, etc. it is necessary that the appropriatepayments be made to “The <strong>Coke</strong> <strong>Oven</strong> Managers’ Association” by 20 th March 2013.Accommodation:A number of rooms have been pre-reserved at the Forest Pines Hotel for the night of 4 thApril 2013 at the special rate of £96.00 pp B&B.
