1981<br />

Kevin Talma has<br />

been practising landscape architecture in<br />

the Carribean since 1990. He has offices<br />

in Barbados and Trinidad. Kevin is married<br />

(Debbie) with three children (Kobi,<br />

Keilani, Che). He told Brian Denney<br />

when they bumped into one another in St.<br />

Lucia that he still finds time to surf and<br />

kitesurf, stand-up paddle surf, play percussion<br />

and travel.<br />

Nicholas Deakin remarks that after he<br />

left <strong>Stanstead</strong> his life has been a rollercoaster.<br />

He has moved countries more<br />

than he can remember and has been married<br />

more times than he wanted. He is living<br />

happily now in Uruguay with his third<br />

wife and his fourth daughter, born last<br />

year. Nicholas works with foreign trade.<br />

As a trader, he finds buyers and sellers for<br />

any type of products. “I loved the years at<br />

<strong>Stanstead</strong>. It took me a while to admit<br />

that.”<br />

1982<br />

In February, Ian Jackson was named<br />

vice-president, sales for Sony Computer<br />

Entertainment America. According to the<br />

company, Ian will “oversee strategic sales<br />

and promotional initiatives across all<br />

PlayStation platforms in North America.”<br />

Ian was most recently managing director<br />

for Sony Computer Entertainment<br />

Canada. The appointment, one of three<br />

announced in February, is expected to<br />

“help further lead the company’s efforts in<br />

sales, merchandising, cooperative marketing,<br />

recruiting and publisher relations,”<br />

reported Sony.<br />

Rod Murphy and his wife Dawn are<br />

pleased to announce the birth of their<br />

daughter, Abigail Joy, born November 3,<br />

2007. Abby<br />

had both her<br />

parents and<br />

hospital staff<br />

fooled into<br />

thinking she<br />

was a boy<br />

throughout the<br />

pregnancy and<br />

labour. What a<br />

sweet surprise!<br />

1990<br />

Clodine Chartrand studied tourism after<br />

leaving <strong>Stanstead</strong>. She worked for four<br />

years in travel and tourism. In 2000 she<br />

switched to the hotel industry<br />

where she is still today. Clodine is<br />

the director of sales for the<br />

Auberge du Lac Taureau & ses<br />

Condos in Saint-Michel des<br />

Saints, Que. She currently resides in<br />

Brossard.<br />

Victoria (Dicker) Coe lives in a village<br />

about 30 minutes west of London,<br />

England with her husband Richard Coe, a<br />

civil engineer for a Japanese construction<br />

company. Victoria and her husband have<br />

two children, Alexander who is 3, and<br />

James who is 9 months. She works in<br />

marketing for Reckitt Benckiser, a household<br />

products manufacturer.<br />

Rodrigo Miranda-Alvarez recently<br />

returned from Spain. He was completing<br />

his MBA at the I.E. Business School in<br />

Madrid. He will be starting up a communication<br />

agency for the tourist industry.<br />

1992<br />

Congratulations to Charles Seagram and<br />

his wife Sabrina. The couple were married<br />

in Montreal in July 2007.<br />

Todd Hsu’s wife Audrey Poon, who he<br />

married in October<br />

of 2006, gave birth<br />

to twins, Isaac and<br />

Alexandre, on<br />

September 20, 2007.<br />

1993<br />

Léanne Aubut<br />

Laurin was born 16 days early to Mélanie<br />

Aubut and her spouse. The baby was<br />

born on October 12, sharing the same<br />

birthday with her aunt, Catherine Aubut<br />

1998.<br />

1994<br />

Christina Scobie is pleased to announce<br />

her engagement to Ian Robertson. She<br />

and Ian recently had their first child, Ryan<br />

Alexander Scobie Robertson on January<br />

25, 2008. They are all doing very well and<br />

enjoying the surprises of parenthood.<br />

1998<br />

Jason Scott, who played his first<br />

American football game when he was at<br />

<strong>Stanstead</strong> <strong>College</strong>, is the coach of the<br />

Loughborough Aces of the British<br />

Collegiate American Football League<br />

(BCAFL). In his two years of coaching,<br />

the team has yet to lose a regular-season<br />

game. Jason spent his 2007 summer vacation<br />

in Maryland to observe the Terrapins<br />

football training camp.<br />

1999<br />

Audrey Tetu-Gigueure attended<br />

<strong>Stanstead</strong> <strong>College</strong> upon the encouragement<br />

of Paul Duncan after she attended<br />

the Summer<br />

Language School.<br />

After graduation she<br />

attended CEGEP St.<br />

Laurent and studied<br />

Health Sciences. She<br />

continues to be very<br />

active in sports and<br />

has made 17 parachute<br />

jumps. She<br />

entered Laval<br />

University in<br />

September 2007 where she is pursuing a<br />

Science degree to study how the brain
