The ecclesiasticalparish was formed 29 Nov. 1870, from the civil parishof Woodchurch. Christ Church, built at a cost of about;^3,ooo, and consecrated in June, 1871, is a plain edificeof stone, consisting of chancel, nave and a turret containingone bell: there are sittings for 200 persons.The register dates from the year 1870.
