With Art <strong>Philadelphia</strong><strong>Philadelphia</strong> is a visual arts powerhouse, and that’s exactlywhat we’re showing and telling <strong>the</strong> world with <strong>the</strong> city’sfirst-ever coordinated and sustained visual arts marketingcampaign, With Art <strong>Philadelphia</strong>. Launched in May <strong>2012</strong>,<strong>the</strong> campaign aims <strong>to</strong>:• Celebrate <strong>Philadelphia</strong> among <strong>the</strong> world’s great art destinations• Draw more and new audiences interested in curating <strong>the</strong>ir own <strong>Philadelphia</strong> experiences• Generate overnight stays from visi<strong>to</strong>rs worldwideWhy Now?: The founding partners involved in With Art realized that <strong>Philadelphia</strong> would be <strong>the</strong> center of<strong>the</strong> biggest art s<strong>to</strong>ry in <strong>the</strong> world in <strong>2012</strong>, with <strong>the</strong> debut of <strong>the</strong> Barnes Foundation’s <strong>Philadelphia</strong> campuson <strong>the</strong> culturally rich Benjamin Franklin Parkway. The museum opened <strong>to</strong> rave reviews in May (see some of<strong>the</strong> media praise on page 26), and <strong>the</strong> With Art partners are using this significant moment <strong>to</strong> launch a twoyearcampaign that spotlights <strong>the</strong> city’s collective artistic assets and generates sustained attention <strong>to</strong> ourwide-ranging arts and culture scene.The Powerhouse Partnership: The campaign is <strong>the</strong> work of a growing coalition of organizations andcultural partners. The public-private partnership includes:Arts & Cultural Partners:Civic Partners:Funders:The Online Experience: As a representation of <strong>the</strong> city’s visual arts scene, visitphilly.com/withart uses beautifulimages and engaging functionality. An interactive map brings <strong>the</strong> culturally packed Parkway <strong>to</strong> life with 3-D imagesand attraction details, and an infographic cleverly conveys <strong>the</strong> city’s art s<strong>to</strong>ries.
