Reuben Aggor. Adult educator <strong>and</strong> lecturer <strong>in</strong> adult <strong>and</strong> cont<strong>in</strong>u<strong>in</strong>g education at<br />

the University of Ghana Legon, Reuben specialises <strong>in</strong> the philosophy of adult<br />

education <strong>and</strong> distance education. He was educated at the University of Ghana,<br />

Legon (B.A. Hons) <strong>and</strong> the University of London (M.A.). He has taught at all levels<br />

Geoffrey Kironchi. Senior Lecturer <strong>and</strong> Head, Soil Science, Department of L<strong>and</strong><br />

Resource Management & <strong>Agricultural</strong> <strong>Tech</strong>nology, University of Nairobi. He is a<br />

specialist <strong>in</strong> soil water management <strong>and</strong> has 14 years of teach<strong>in</strong>g experience at the<br />

university level. He has also been <strong>in</strong>volved <strong>in</strong> capacity build<strong>in</strong>g <strong>and</strong> research <strong>in</strong><br />

both dryl<strong>and</strong> farm<strong>in</strong>g systems <strong>and</strong> the environment. Currently, he coord<strong>in</strong>ates the<br />

project “Strengthen<strong>in</strong>g of <strong>Agricultural</strong> & Environmental Capacities through<br />

Agnes W. Mwang’ombe. Pr<strong>in</strong>cipal, College of Agriculture <strong>and</strong> Veter<strong>in</strong>ary Sciences,<br />

University of Nairobi. Formerly, Dean, Faculty of Agriculture, she is a professor of<br />

plant pathology <strong>and</strong> has about 20 years <strong>and</strong> wide experience <strong>in</strong> teach<strong>in</strong>g at the<br />

University, capacity build<strong>in</strong>g, action research <strong>and</strong> agricultural development.<br />

Nigeria<br />

Adewale Adolphus Adekunle. Agronomist with experience <strong>in</strong> capacity build<strong>in</strong>g,<br />

rural development, <strong>and</strong> agricultural communication. He has <strong>in</strong> the recent past<br />

worked extensively <strong>in</strong> the area of <strong>in</strong>novation systems <strong>in</strong> agricultural development<br />

with specific focus on the improvement of communications between farmers<br />

groups <strong>and</strong> agricultural scientists. In collaboration with COL <strong>and</strong> similar agencies,<br />

he has developed a model <strong>for</strong> the susta<strong>in</strong>able <strong>in</strong>troduction of ICT <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g the<br />

<strong>in</strong>ternet to rural communities. He also developed a rapid response plat<strong>for</strong>m to<br />

farmers’ problems us<strong>in</strong>g ICT <strong>and</strong> an ICT-based commodity exchange plat<strong>for</strong>m<br />

managed by farmers. He is currently with the Forum <strong>for</strong> <strong>Agricultural</strong> Research <strong>in</strong><br />

Africa (FARA) as the Coord<strong>in</strong>ator <strong>for</strong> the Sub-Saharan Africa Challenge Program.<br />

Adeolu Babatunde Ayanwale. Associate Professor of <strong>Agricultural</strong> Economics <strong>and</strong><br />
