KATAKUMITEKOBUDO12 th ANNUAL USA WADO-RYU KARATE-DO CHAMPIONSHIP 2007TOURNAMENT RULESAll Divisions1. May perform any kata; tiebreaker must be a different kata. Beginner division may repeat kata.2. For black belt divisions 73 & 81 must be a minimum of 16 years of age.WKF rules with the following modifications:1. All Juniors 1.5 minutes stop time, 8 point ceiling (first to acquire 8 points wins)2. Juniors 17 & under Head contact must be penalized3. Juniors 15-17 Advanced Hand contact to the head will not score and may be penalized4. Adults (except 18-34 advanced) 2 minutes stop time, 8 point ceilingWKF Rules for adults advanced divisions 18-34All DivisionsAll weapons will be subject to inspection by judges before competition.Modified weapons or weapons that do not meet tournament criteria may not be used in competition.6 ft. Bo must weigh at least 900 grams.Weapons must remain in the competitor’s hands at all times. Further, that there may beother risks not known to us or not reasonably foreseeable at this time. Release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue Wadoryu USA, Inc., USA Wado-ryu Karate-do Championship, Laguna Hills Community Center its officers, its affiliated clubs, regional sports organizations, theirrespective administrators, directors, agents, coaches and other employees, staff, official and volunteers of the organization, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners andlessees of premises used to conduct the event, all of which are hereinafter referred to as “releasees” from any and all liability to each of the undersigned, his or her heirs and next of kin for any and all claims, demands,losses or damages on account of injury including death or damage to property, caused or alleged to be caused in whole or in part by the negligence of the releasee or otherwise. The undersigned shall indemnify thereleasees and hold them harmless for any losses, liability or damages, which may result from any failure or defect of such release.4.
