Tothose of you who don't haveany plans yet, I encourageyou please sign up for ourSummer Camp on July 27th(Sun) .We will be studyingbo, nunchaku, katana, sai,winning katas, and throwingtechniques. We will also befocusing on self defense;These are always fun topractice. I also want toremind you that there will bemany events in the month ofAugust. First on the list is theOrange County Fairdemonstration on Aug 3rd(Sun). There's going to beplenty of activities as well asdifferentSpotlight Studentsrides and games, it is alwaysfun to be there so please don'tmiss this event. Anotherevent that I am encouragingeveryone to attend is on Aug24 th (Sun) for the JapaneseCulture Fair demonstration atWoodbridge Center. This agreat place to learn andexperience the Japaneseculture. We are currentlylooking for members who arewilling to exhibit/demonstratetheir Wado-Ryu skills. Pleasedo not hesitate to let me knowas soon as possible so that Ican include your name on thelist. Finally, please do notforget to mark your calendaron August 31 st for our annualsummer B.B.Q party atHuntington Beach. We willonce again have fun in thesun with all of our Dojofamilies.I'm asking everyone to stayhealthy and safe throughoutthe summer and don't forgetto always work hard andpractice to keep your skillsintact.Thank you,SenseiMax JenquinI have been doing karate for5 years now.and over thattime, it has helped me a lot inmany aspects of my life.When I started at the age at 7,I was really excited to start. Ireally couldn't wait to startpracticing the fighting aspectof karate.As I grew more mature, my interests in karateshifted from having funpunching and kicking tohaving fun mastering the finepoints of basic, combinations,katas, kihon kumite, andeverything else. I still thinkthe sparring is fun, but I nowrealize that there is more to itthan that. karate has taughtme a lot about myself andother. It has also helped togrow in many ways, probablyincluding some that I myselfhave not reconized. Besideshelping me find new sports totry, karate has instilled asense of discipline and moreof a "never give up" out lookon the world.
