Shree Vallabh (Shree Mahaprabhuji) visit to Pandharpur,Shree Vithoba (Shree Govardhannathji), desire.This has been described by Gopaldas in his Aakhyaan which says that assoon as their gaze met, Shreeji expressed his desire“Hoon Nandan, Tame Taat”, meaning he wished to be the son and wantedShree Vallabh to be his father.Arrival of Brahmin before pragatya.


Presentation of the Swaroop and request to become a devoteeThinking this to be the wish of Shree KrishnaShree Vallabh’s accetance of swaroop.Placing the swaroop in Haveli and accepted the Brahmin as hisdevotee.Shree Krishna union with Shree Vallabh as swaroop and as a form ofchildAccording to Shreeji’s wish – pragtaya of Shree Gusaiji


In accordance to Shreeji’s wish, when the time of incarnation of ShreeGusaiji was nearing, Shree Vallabhacharya settled down with his family inCharnaat near Varanasi. On the auspicious day of Magshar Vad Navami(known as Posh in Vraj), Shree Gusaiji was born IN 1572 Samvat. ShreeGusaiji’s birthday falls on the 9th and this figure according to Hinducalendar happens to be a complete number (Akhand) and is also believed tobe day of incarnation of Shree Krishna himself, as Pushti PoornaPurshotaam. Hence Shree Vallabh’s agony of separationfrom Shree Krishna, which he was constantly going through, came to anend.


•He has been given various names according to his different deeds(leela)•He was the protector of cows and he called off the killing of the cows.•All his leelas were similar to Shree Krishna and he was called“Prabhucharan” and also known as ‘PARAM KRUPAALU’.•Just as in Krishna Avatar, Baldevji was first born, Shree Krishna wasborn second, here Shree Gopinathji was born first as avatar ofBaldevji, and then Shree Gusaiji The Lord himself was born second.•On Sharad Purnima’s Darshan, Shree Gusaiji was honoured by theEmperor Akbar and was gifted an enormous diamond that rests today onShreenathji’s Chib<strong>uk</strong> (chin). Since then, it has come to occupy a veryspecial place in the shringar of Pushti Marg.


•He was also honored and was granted the noble title of “Goswami”,by the Emperor Akbar which still continues to this day.•The time when he was present was known as the 'GOLDEN AGE OFPUSHTIMARG'.•He had a knack of explaining the most difficult philosophical point invery simple terms, and people understood and appreciated histeachings.•His followers were from all sorts of classes - famous, rich, poor,poets, artists etc. and the 252 devotees (Vaishnavs) are very wellknown for their servings whose story are mentioned in the Book'STORY OF 252 Vaishnavs”•The best known manoraths, (Chappan Bhog) in our sect were alsoinitiated during Shree Gusaiji's term.•Shree Mahaprabhuji Created 'Trividhnamavali Granth' for ShreeGusaiji. It consists of 1008 names of Shree Krishna.


•His kirtan's lyrics and the bhava were so exotic that evenShree Nathji was pleased with the kirtan.He was a great painter, an artist, vocal singer, a poet, amusician, a composer and he devoted all his gifts to theservice of God.•Shree Gusaiji was only 10 years old when his first paad wascreated. Shree Mahaprabhuji was the first listener of thispaad•"Vrajraj Virajat Ghosh Varay, Varniya Manohar RoopDhare,Dharani Ramani Ramanaik Pare, Paramaarti Harsmita•Shree Gusaiji established the tradition of singingreligious(Paads) kirtans--hymns in praise of the DivinePrabhu by appointing 4 more great devotees (Ashtha- sakhas)in V.S. 1602.• Total Ashtha-sakhas comprised of the 8 poets -4 ShreeMahaprabhuji’s and Four were Shree Gusaiji.

•Shree Gusaiji <strong>org</strong>anized systems of sewa , through Raag, Bhog andShrungar, according to the seasons which are the main pillars ofpustimarg dharma.•His sewa teachings became the heart and the Path of Grace, which areeven practiced today in the sewa of Shree Nathji.He introduced present times sewa as a means of experiencing love forShree Krishna, and his devotion towards God was looked upon as that of“Gopi Bhava”•Aap<strong>shree</strong> wrote various Holy Scriptures amongst which includes‘Sarvottam Stotra’ and ‘Shree Vallabastak’ which is recited by vaishnavstoday.•There are 28 bethaks of Shree Gusaiji in various parts of India


Shree Gusaiji presided over the earth graciously for 72 years. He had fourdaughters (Betijis) and seven sons.The Seven sons are known as the Seven Balaks.Shree Gusaiji married twice His first wife was Shree R<strong>uk</strong>hmani Vahujiafter her passing away, on request of Rani Durgawatiji he married ShreePadmavati Vahuji.Shree Gusaiji distributed the seven "swaroops" of the Lord to his sevensons and set up seven separate Havelies for them. These are knows as“NIDHI” SwaroopPushti Marg followers have had the choice of nine different forms of theSHREENATHJI they can worship and seven different "houses" ofacharyas they can obtain initiation (Brahma Sambhand) from.

JALEBI UTSAVShree Gusaiji’s birthday is also known as ‘Jalebi Utsav’. ShreenathjiHimself showed his divine wish to have Jalebi on the pragatya day ofShree Gusaiji to celebrate his the birthday.When Shree Gusaiji was performing sewa of Shree Navneetpriyaji inGokul, on the same day( 8 th day of dark side of lunar (Magsar vad Posh)Ramdasji, was offering Shrungar to Shrinathji , at Shri Girirajji Mandir andKumbhandasji was reciting Kirtans.At that time, Shree Nathji said : " Ramdasji! Kumbhandasji do you knowthat on my birthday, Kakaji (Shree Gusaiji) arranges Grand Celebrations.”And I wish to celebrate his birthday, in a grand manner. Shree Ramdasjienquired as to which samagri he should prepare, and Shree Nathjiresponded that it should be JALEBISAfter sewa Shree Ramdasji gathered all the sevakos and told them " RaasRoop Jalebi siddh karo". as tomorrow is the pragatya day of ShreeGusaiji and it is Shreeji’s wish, to celebrate his birthday in a grandmanner.


JALEBI UTSAV


Sadu Pande was very happy(Umang & Utshah) and said I will bring(padhravish) the Ghee and Mendo for the samagrei from my house.Kumbhandasji went home and found out that he had no money for thesamagari. This did not have any effect on his Utshah (Pleasure) tocontribute towards the samagari. He decided to sell his 2 oxes and 2cows and gave the money to Shree Ramdasji to buy the samagari.Shree Ramdsji ordered some sugar with this money. All the sevaks gottogether stayed awake whole night and made ‘JALEBI’( Jalebi ni samagri siddh kari.)On the day of Magsar Vad Navami Jalebi was offered to Shrjee duringthe Raj Bhog. Shreeji gave aagya to Shree Kumbhandasji to reciteShree Gusaji’s VadhaiShree Kumbhandasji recited the kirtan and this made Shreeji veryhappy.
