July2002 is the time, when a small town boy (that's me ) landed in namma garden citywith the similar thoughts and loads of dreams, but like many of you, there was nobody to tell what to do and how. Alien to the place and language, I learnt myselfeverything at my Gurukul 'MSRIM' which became integral part of my life.Reason, I decided to make these 2 years of life in MSRIM productive &memorable, come what may.It's time for me to share those experiences that might be helpful for you in order to create a productive and memorabletime, because trust me; whether you like it or not, this time is never gonna come back in your life. Some mantras mighthelp you. So here we go...1. Answer the question, “Why am I going to college?”2. Set clear goals for each class.3. Triage ruthlessly. Optimize.4. Get an early start to each day.5. Reclaim wasted time during your classes.6. Learn material the very first time it's presented.7. Master advanced memory techniques.8. Have some serious fun!Challenge yourself academically, but give yourself plenty of time for fun as well. Don't squander your leisure timehanging around doing nothing. Go out and do something active that will blow off steam and increase your energy.Develop hobbies, time pass if you do not have. Learn musical instruments, go to gym, play cricket, go with your gangof bikers to Nandi hills, and many more things you can do. Caution, do not copy others. Be Yourself. That's the realfun.This advice centers on making your college experience as rich and memorable as possible. I'm very grateful for theexperience because it showed me just how much more effective we can be when we push ourselves beyond ourcomfort zones. It taught me to keep setting goals beyond what I feel certain I can accomplish. Many times what weassume to be impossible just isn't. We only think it is.7
