Prevent direct contact with bitumen, tar, fat, oil, solventcontaining materials and other plastic materials, e.g. expanded polystyrene(EPS), extruded polystyrene (XPS), polyurethane (PUR), polyisocyanurate(PIR) or phenolic foam (PF) as this could adversely affect the productproperties.ApplicationConditions /LimitationsTemperatureCompatibilityResistanceThe use of Sikaplan ® -SGmA 1.5 (Trocal ® SGmA, 1.5 mm) membrane islimited to geographical locations with average monthly minimumtemperatures of -25 °C.Permanent ambient temperature during use is limited to +50 °C.Not compatible with direct contact to other plastics, e.g. EPS, XPS, PUR,PIR, PF.Not resistant to tar, bitumen, oil and solvent containing materials. Not applicable for permanent exposure to UV irradiation.4 4/6Sikaplan ® -SGmA 1.5 (Trocal ® SGmA, 1.5 mm)

RoofingApplicationInstructionsApplication Method /ToolsNotes on Application /LimitationsProtective MeasuresTransportation ClassDisposalInstallation procedure:According to the valid installation instructions for Sikaplan ® SGmA (Trocal ®SGmA)-types for ballasted roof system.Fixing Method:Loosely laid and covered with ballast. Mechanical fixing at the roof perimeteris recommended to keep membrane in place.Roof waterproofing sheet is installed by loose laying and covered withballast according to local wind load situation. If ballast weight is insufficientto restrain against wind uplift the membrane may be fixed mechanically inseam overlap or independent from overlap.Welding Method:Overlap seams are welded by electric hot welding equipment, such asmanual hot air welding machines and pressure rollers or automatic hot airwelding machines with controlled hot air temperature capability of minimum600 °C.(Recommended type of equipment: LEISTER TRIAC PID for manual weldingand LEISTER VARIMAT for automatic welding.)Welding parameters including temperature, machine speed, air flow, pressure and machine settings must be evaluated, adapted and checked onsite according to the type of equipment and the climatic situation prior towelding works. The effective width of welded overlaps should be minimum20 mm.If local weather conditions allow cold welding of sheet overlaps with Sika-Trocal Welding Agent, it is permitted for Sikaplan ® -SGmA 1.5 (Trocal ®SGmA, 1.5 mm) system with ballast. The effective width of welded overlapby cold welding must be 30 mm.The seams must be mechanically tested with screw driver or steel needle toensure the integrity/completion of the weld. Any imperfections must berectified by hot air welding.Cold welded seam edges must be sealed by Sika-Trocal Seam Sealant aftertesting.Installation works must be carried out only by Sika ® Roofing instructedcontractors.Temperature limits for the installation of the membrane:Substrate temperature:Ambient temperature :-25 °C min. / +60 °C max. For hot air welding+5 °C min. / +60 °C max. For cold welding-25 °C min. / +60 °C max. For hot air welding+5 °C min. / +60 °C max. For cold weldingInstallation of some ancillary products, e.g. contact adhesives/thinners islimited to temperatures above +5 °C. Please refer to the respective ProductData Sheets.Special measures may be compulsory for installation below +5 °C ambienttemperature due to safety requirements in accordance with nationalregulations.Fresh air ventilation must be ensured when working (welding) in closedrooms. Local safety regulations must be observed. The product is not classified as hazardous good for transport. The material is recyclable. Disposal must be according to local regulations. Please contact your local Sika ® Roofing sales organisation for moreinformation.5 5/6Sikaplan ® -SGmA 1.5 (Trocal ® SGmA, 1.5 mm)
