tChapter 7AppendixApplication at an energy supply company in Eastern EuropeIn this project, an energy supply company wanted to link the measurements from its 110kV transformer station and 35kV substationwith each other. The transformer stations are linked with the central control centre of the energy supply company byusing fibre optics. Communication is achieved with Ethernet - TCP/IP. Across various voltage levels depending upon theinformation required from the measuring point and the communication requirements various power analysers andmeasuring instruments where used. The aim was to read out the fundamental electrical values from all stations automaticallytogether with power quality measurement values and collect, store and analyse them centrally.tEthernet/TCP/IP via fibre optic conductor110 kV GridUMG 511PCC power qualitymonitoring• EN50160• Short-terminterruptions• Transients• GatewayUMG507ETR1• Short-terminterruption• THD-V• Transients• Peak loadUMG 507EUMG 507E UMG 507E UMG 507E35kV Grid• Power quality• Comparison ofenergy efficiencyUMG 96S UMG 96S UMG 96S UMG 96S UMG 96S UMG 96S10kV Feeders• IT environment• Server• Database• Analysis software• Clients• Analysis tools215
