I have to agree. It is true that ourparking lot is a very busy place. As a reminder, Mr. Nguyen and Mr. Spohnno longer assist with before or after school drop off or pick up at the cardrive-through area due to reduced custodial hours at Palisades. Here are some reminders for student drop off and pick up. Your safety is ourtop priority. Please drive slowly. There will always be a staff person at thecross walk by the front door of the school where students load and unload. That person will guide cars and walkers using a cross walk flag. The front door of the building is a car loading and unloading zone. It is important that you complete your pick up or dropoff process as quickly as possible to avoid congestion in the parking lot. Drive through the loading zone as directed andif your child is not readily available to be picked up at the front of the line, park in one of the marked stalls to waitfor your child. Or you may drive to the back of the drive through line. Do not walk away from your car while in thedrive through. Please exercise great caution while loading, unloading and driving through the parking lot. Pick-up childrenpromptly as this will minimize anxiety for your child. Children who are not picked up by 3:30pm will be askedto come inside, call a parent or emergency number and wait in the lobby for pickup.Just a few reminders for students who walk to or from school. Please enter or leave the building through the front doors.Even though shortcuts and paths may save time, it is not safe to use them. Walk together in a group if possible. If you arewalking home from school please leave the school property when others do unless a parent is present to supervise on theplayground, or you have an after school activity supervised by an adult.Thank you for your attention to these safety guidelines!!Best Regards,Carol WhittenThere is still time to donate items, services, parties, etc. to the auction.
