A lower division courseopen to all students with an interest in business and contract law.The course emphasizes the concepts of business law as it appliesto agency, partnerships, and corporations. Special reference ismade to the Uniform Commercial Code, Uniform Partnership Act,and the Revised Model Business Corporation Act. Acourse which presents an overview of the roles played by thevarious markets, institutions and financial authorities. Specifictopics include an introduction to the U.S. financial system; thesupply of, and demand for loan funds; the levels and structure ofinterest rates; and government and corporate securities andobligations. Emphasis is placed upon policy effects of financialinstitutions and markets upon various sectors of the economy.Prerequisite: BA 322 and EC 355. Spring.BA 401. Internship in Business Administration - 1-9 hours.Internship under supervision of college personnel and cooperatingfacility. Administrative Communications - 3 hours.Communicative process at all levels; communication theory andpractice and variables affecting intra-organizationcommunications. Prerequisite: Senior standing. Interdisciplinary analysis ofrelationships of individuals and groups within the context of theorganization. Management leadership responsibilities.Prerequisites: BA 212. Fall.BA 432. Production and Operations Management - 3 hours.Analysis of fundamental concepts in production and operationsmanagement which include methodologies, techniques, and toolsas applied in managerial decision making.
