PeopleSoft Reconciliation – The Department of Excise and Licenses should developand implement a method of reconciling all medical marijuana application andlicense payment information recorded in the Department’s Production informationsystem with payment information recorded in the City’s PeopleSoft informationsystem.10. Customer Service – The Department of Excise and Licenses should ensure that theDepartment’s website is updated with the most current medical marijuanainformation and forms.11. State and City Data Integration – The Department of Excise and Licenses shoulddevelop and implement a system to compare the state of Colorado’s medicalmarijuana license registry to the City’s registry and reconcile any differences.12. License Length – The Department of Excise and Licenses should recommend to CityCouncil that Council amend the City’s two-year medical marijuana license durationto match the state’s one-year medical marijuana license duration for consistency.13. License Renewal Fees – The Department of Excise and Licenses should recommendto City Council that Council amend the Denver Revised Municipal Code to authorizethe Department to collect the full amount of medical marijuana license renewal feesat the time of renewal.14. Local Verification Form – The Department of Excise and Licenses should enlist the helpof the City Attorney’s Office to clarify the state’s purpose for using the localverification form and work with the state to revise the form if necessary to serve theintended purpose.15. Inspection Process – The Department of Excise and Licenses should work with the Cityagencies that are involved in the medical marijuana inspection process to identifyopportunities for increased efficiency in the inspection process to improve the overallmedical marijuana application process cycle time.City and County of DenverP a g e 32
