The event was held at the Akron/<strong>Fairlawn</strong> Radissonhotel in <strong>Fairlawn</strong> on Wednesday evening, December 5.Entry year teachers and their mentors as well as lead mentorsthroughout the district attended. In addition, Mrs. BeverlyParker, Assistant Principal, <strong>Copley</strong>-<strong>Fairlawn</strong> Middle School;Mr. Bill Kerrigan, Interim Principal, <strong>Copley</strong>-<strong>Fairlawn</strong> MiddleSchool; Miss Kathleen Ashcroft, Principal, Herberich PrimarySchool, also attended the event along with Dr. Roger Saurer,Superintendent and Mr. Brian Poe, Assistant Superintendent.Representing the Board of Education was Ms. Julie Schafer.<strong>Copley</strong> High School students, Ping Zhuang, a senior, and VitoSunoto, a freshman, were the guest speakers. Ping is fromChina, and Vito is from Indonesia.
