kids’ activity center provides fun activities
that parents and kids can enjoy together.
All activities are free of charge!
NEW! KIDS COOKIE PAINTING
Free for kids on Friday at 1 p.m. Kids
can paint a car-shaped sugar cookie
with icing. (Limit 75 kids)
NEW! KIDS COOKING CLASSES
Saturday, 2-4 p.m. head to The Kitchen
Shoppe to make homemade pasta
with creamy sauce, a personal pizza
with dough from scratch and homemade
ice cream. Cost is $15 per person
with free transportation (from the deck
at the 2-story offi ce). Check availability
during Cookie Painting or at Guest Services.
(ages 5-15 with an adult).
NEW! KIDS CHOICE AWARD: Kids can
vote for their favorite car in Building T.
Ballots available at the Kids building,
Guest Services or The Carlisle Store.
The ballot box is inside Building T. Winner
will be announced Sunday during
the Awards Parade.
POSTER CONTEST: Kids can design
a poster around our mascots, Max &
Mandy. All kids receive a participation
ribbon. Kids
can choose
to meet at
the stage at
12:15 p.m.
on Sunday
to show-off
their posters
and receive a
prize!
CARLISLE CUTIES CONTEST: Babies
and toddlers, up to age 3. Tots dress to
impress in Chrysler and/or Carlisle apparel!
Be at the stage Sunday at 12:15
p.m. All participants receive a small
toy. Winner (selected by staff ) receives
a US Savings Bond.

AAR ’ CUDA &
CHALLENGER T/A REUNION
Purpose-built for the Trans Am series in
1970, the AAR and T/A are two of the
most coveted E-Bodies with enthusiasts
today. We have assembled an amazing
display of the high-winding 340+6 street
cars as well as Sam Posey’s original #76
race car. Building T has a dozen handpicked
feature vehicles with over 50
more on the Showfi eld. SEE PAGE 17.
BARN FINDS •••••••••••
Building Y is a little diff erent this year.
You won’t fi nd any shiny chrome or
over-restored paint. Instead, we fi lled

it with Barn Finds and Time Bandits! We
found the coolest Mopars right out of the
barns, yards and side streets of America.
We also assembled a few of what we are
calling “Time Bandits.” Time Bandits are
cars that aren’t quite Survivors but they
aren’t in need of a full restoration in order
to be enjoyed. We like to think of them as
fi xed up old hot rods. SEE PAGE 15.
MOPAR SURVIVORS •••••
Survivors are true time capsules and are
the best way to see exactly how these
vehicles were originally assembled on
the line. They still have their original factory
applied paint, interiors and drive
trains; or at least a minimum of 85% of it.
Thanks to Mel Major we are proud to offer
over forty unrestored Mopars that are
in excellent condition. SEE PAGE 25.
STANDARD OF MOPAR
EXCELLENCE JUDGING •••
The Chrysler Nationals off ers the Standard
of Mopar Excellence (SME) judging
for folks who are ready for more than
just the participant ballot voting of the
Showfi eld. SME participants have their
cars thoroughly examined and evaluated
by a team of Mopar experts using
a 100-point system. SME is led by Dave
Ferro and sponsored by Totally Auto. SEE

ENGINE GIVEAWAY ••••••
We’ve again teamed up with Muscle
Motors and Mopar Muscle magazine for
another cool Engine Giveaway. This time
we built an engine for the small block
fans and came up with a 408-cubic-inch
stroker. It’s pump-gas friendly and produced
439 horsepower and 493.9 ft./lb.
of torque on the dyno. No purchase is
necessary but you must be present on

ROCK CLIMBING WALL •••

Wall at this year’s show. This is a safe way
for all members of the family – novice to
expert climbers – to test their climbing
abilities in reaching the 24-foot summit.

ROCK CRAWL •••••••••••
Our rock crawl course consists of rocks
ranging from mild to wild, as well as a
concrete wall for the serious crawlers!
Members of Rausch Creek Off Road Park
will put on demonstrations on Saturday
as well as conduct a seminar entitled
Off -Road 101. The Carlisle Rock Crawl is
also open to Showfi eld participants who
want to give it a try. See Jeeps, Dodge
trucks and tube buggies conquer the

BURNOUT CONTEST •••••
No Carlisle event would be complete
without the burnout contest. “Carlisle
King (or Queen) of the Hill” bragging
rights are up for grabs once again at
the Carlisle Chrysler Nationals. Preregistration
is required at Guest Services. A
show sticker (i.e. registered for vending
or Showfi eld), driver’s license and proof
of insurance are required. Participants
are limited to 10 vehicles and 3 minutes
each.
CLUBS ••••••••••••••••
Clubs are a very important part of the
event. Each year clubs compete to see
which has the most vehicles in attendance
and awards are presented to the
top three. There is also an award presented
to the club who has the coolest hangout.
