Message from the
Chair of the Board of Directors
This past year was another wonderful year for Hospice Caring, Inc. We are in sound financial shape today because of
the support from all of our donors, and for all of them I am extremely grateful. Our fundraising efforts, notably the golf
tournament and the annual gala, rewarded their participants with wholesome fun and provided Hospice Caring, Inc.
with indispensable financial support. I am grateful to all those who worked to organize all of our fundraising events and
to make them a success, and I am grateful to those who participated in them.
Our volunteers continue to be the vital core of our work, providing patient care and facilitating bereavement groups,
and helping Hospice Caring staff at the Cottage and during events. Our volunteers tell us how rewarding they find the
assistance they provide to their patients and the patients’ families. We also know, because the patients and their families
tell us what a difference our services make in the lives of those we help. I want to express my own heartfelt gratitude to
care-givers and to all of our volunteers.
Hospice Caring, Inc. is a unique organization, admired and respected by all who know of its work. It has enjoyed
decades of gratifying accomplishments. I’m confident that with your help, we will build on this foundation and continue
our exemplary work for many years to come.
