Precision Flying with EXP50003.7 Precision Flying with EXP5000This section describes several techniques which take advantage ofthe EXP5000’s features to produce precision flight performance.Obtaining Level FlightYou can obtain level flight by placing the apex of the yellow deltashapedreference symbol a the pitch angle where the altitude trendvector is not displayed and the VSI reads zero (0). The pitch angle forlevel flight will vary with flight conditions, depending on speed, altitude and weight. There is no manual adjust capability (i.e. parallaxadjust).Flying a Constant Rate TurnThe proper technique for flying a constant rate turn involves using acombination of the turn indicator and the bank angle indicator. Figure10 shows a constant rate turn to the left.Figure 10. Flying a Constant Rate TurnInitiate the standard rate turn by banking to an initial bank angle of 20degrees with reference to the bank angle indicator, then adjust thebank angle to standard rate by reference to the standard rate turnindicator. Deviations from an intended bank angle are extremely easyto notice with the EXP5000 ADI horizon line.Entegra EXP5000 PFD -32- 600-00104-001 Rev 04
