FITTING ACCESSORIES AND ADJUSTING FOR USE5.1 Using the HandstrapsThe ISG K-90 TalismanXL thermalimager is equipped with two easy touse and adjustable “camcorder style”handstraps on either side of thecamera that fits firefighting gloves. Thehandstraps promote a secure grip onthe camera. The handstraps areadjustable at the buckle.1. To adjust, loosen the buckle on the handstrap to give it enough room toslide your hand between the handstrap and the camera. Take care not toover loosen the side straps to the extent that they offer no support.2. Slide your hand through the strap so that your fingers grab the side of thecase.5.2 Attaching the Pistol Grip HandleAll K-90 TalismanXL thermal imagers are also equipped with a detachablequick connect pistol grip handle.1. To install the pistol grip, match the two attachmentports on the camera with the male side ofthe attachments on the pistol grip. Slide thepistol grip into place. You should hear and feelthe pistol grip lock in. IMPORTANT: DO NOT usethe pistol grip unless you’ve determined youhave positively locked it in place.2. To unlatch the pistol grip, unlock the positivemechanism by sliding the lock tab and slide thepistol grip off the camera.NOTE: The pistol grip slides in either way to give theuser reversible options on how to orient the pistolgrip.5.3 Fast Attack Camera CradleWhen not in use, store the K-90 TalismanXLImager (and charger) in its carrying case or thecustomer made Fast Attack Camera Cradle.
