Links to Strategic ObjectivesThe council’s medium-term financial strategy, budgets and capitalprogramme are designed to deliver the Council’s strategic priorities. Thecorporate business plan drives the medium-term financial strategy, withchanges in allocations determined in accordance with policies andpriorities. The budget set for 2006/07 addresses the delivery of local andnational priorities and the Council’s performance and focus on the needsof its communities. Effective financial management supports the strategicobjective for improved value for money and keeping council tax rises low.10.
