REGIONAL NEWSSoutheastern<strong>Bonanza</strong> <strong>Society</strong>Our fly-in to Miami , Florida,February 21-24, got off to a grand startwith the ramp at Tamiami filled with 32beautiful Beechcraft and 80 membersgetting ready to invade Troy and CindyBranning's house for the ThursdayBBQ.On Friday we strolled through thebeautiful grounds at Miami's ParrotJungle. After a picnic style lunch thatoverlooked the beautiful flamingolagoon, the afternoon held a myriad ofopportunities from the aviation museumto shopping. Friday night'S dinner wasat an ideal setting at the 94th AeroSquadron just off Miami InternationalAirport. After dinner, we were treated toa very entertaining presentation fromMr. Larry Wilson from ATC TowerSupport at Miami.Saturday we headed out to themagnificent estate of the late Mr. JamesDeering of lnternational Harvesterfame. His gorgeous estate, Vizcaya,includes a marvelous open courtyardmansion in the Italian architecture. Florida.family and friends to the historical townof Dothan, Alabama, for our Spring Flyin.A special treat greeted us at the FBOas a beautifully restored OV-I Mohawk,provided by the Army AviationFoundation and piloted by SEBS memberMitch Waldren, saluted our arrival.The weekend was filled with activ-ities including the Ft.Rucker Museum ,which contained over160 military aircraftfrom a WWl Jenny toan AH-64 Apacheattack helicopter; anexciting mini ai rshow where we weregreeted by two beautifulPitts Specialsowned by BobbyPowell and MarshallCollins and an extra300 belonging toMitch Waldren; and the 37th AnnualEufaula Pilgrimage to tour a number ofgrand historic homes.With an inviting Sunday morningsky, a cargo compartment full of greatmemories, and a "Y'all come back"from the Cairns controller, the annadaof airplanes depaned.Our fly-in to Lex.ington, Kentucky,<strong>June</strong> 6-9 will be reported on nextmonth. - Jay WilsonNortheast <strong>Bonanza</strong>GroupOn April 21, one Baron and12 <strong>Bonanza</strong>s flew into Lee Airport(KANP) in the Annapolis,Maryland, area. Also, three localNEBG members were present.The group included MichaelMangum, Barabara and ManyRappaport and grandson Steven,Jim Rodie flew in from Floridain the left seat of a Boeing, DaveRodgers drove in hi s Jaguarfrom the aval Academy wherehe teaches, Willy Hines flew his 0 registeredBeechcraft that he flew to the USfrom Germany, Tom and Bev Guyer,Elliott and Maxine Schiffman, Dick andJean Beede, Mary Ann and GeneBeliveau, Mary Ann and Dick Boden,John Horan, Lawrence West, Jeannineand Rich Campbell, new member DaveScott, new Beechcraft owner Jim Shayand me, my wife Judi and sons Philipand Warren.Some of the group came over to myhangar to see my K35 (see photo onpage 7315) that had just won an awardat Sun 'n Fun. Then we all piled intomultiple vehicles for a trip to downtownAnnapolis for lunch at Griffins. DaveRodgers offered CDs of his trip toAlaska and Elliott Schiffman discussed<strong>Bonanza</strong>s to Oshkosh and FormationFlight Training.1 mentioned several upcomingevents including the ABS Experiencecoming to Reading, Pennsylvania, on<strong>June</strong> 27-30. NEBG Treasurer RichCampbell and his wife, Jeannine. arefrom Reading and will be helping out atthat event. After lunch, we all went on awalking tour of Annapolis with a guidefrom Three Centuries Tours ofAnnapolis.
