A request foraerodynamic modelling data has been made.TurbulenceAny object placed in a wind creates turbulent air behind it.The concern is that if the turbulent wake of the wind turbine were to reach the sportspitch that penalties and free kicks taken in rugby and football would suffer from turbulentair.This paper uses Dassault Systemes SolidWorks Flow Simulation Computational FluidDynamics software to investigate whether the turbulent air created by the windturbine would reach the sports pitch and therefore affect the sports played on it.ResultsThe sports pitch and wind turbine and proposed wind turbine were modelled in the CFDsoftware. For a comparative analysis, the gardeners workshop located near the sportspitch is modelled also (Figure 1).50
