School OrganisationThe School DayThe school gates open at 8.40am, children enter school at 8.45am and teaching begins at 9.00am. Lunch is staggered for different year groups from 11.30 until 12.20. Each year group hasfifty minutes for lunch. At the end of the school day the gates open at 3.15pm and schoolfinishes at 3.25 pm.AdmissionsLord Street Primary School is a community schooland admissions are controlled by the LocalEducation Authority. We have no affiliation to anyparticular religious affiliation or denomination.Please be aware that a place in the nursery classdoes not guarantee a place in the school.School LibraryWe are extremely fortunate to be able to use thepublic library as our school library. All childrenfrom reception upwards join the library and visitthe school each week to borrow new books.Partnership with Rivington &BlackrodOur school works closely with Rivington &Blackrod High School and indeed the two schools are physically linked by the PathwayCentre.
