Collier Youth Services, founded in 1927, is a non-profit, nonsectarian
social service agency that gives at-risk youth a chance
to grow to their potential through educational, recreational and
residential programs.
Description of Programs or Services:
Collier High School is a co-ed, alternative education and
day treatment facility for 155 teenagers whose academic
and emotional needs cannot be met in public school.
Accredited by the State of New Jersey, Collier offers regular,
college prep and vocational courses, a strong counseling
program and extra-curricular activities.
Collier Group Home is a community-based, residential
treatment program for teenage girls from throughout New
Jersey who cannot live at home due to serious personal
or family problems. With professional guidance and
counseling, girls prepare to return to their families or to
live independently.
Collier House is a transitional living program for young
women, ages 18 - 22, who are aging out of the foster care
system, homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless. Each
resident is expected to work and/or continue her education,
while also receiving individual instruction in life skills,
computers, money management, and employment from
our professional staff.
Kateri Day Camp is a summer recreation program for
economically disadvantaged children, ages 5 - 12, from
Monmouth County. The program includes meals,
transportation, and camp activities in a safe country setting.
Kateri also Sponsors JET, an eight-week job experience
and training program that combines life-skills education,
mentoring, and an incentive-based work experiences for
at-risk teenagers.
Project Eco is an extended school-year and recreation
program designed to meet the academic and therapeutic
needs of special-education students aged 8 – 17
