MATHMOD 2012 Documents and Accessory
MATHMOD 2012 provides for each participant documents and accessory, items of scientific,
organisational, artistically, and ‘spiritual’ value, being all MATHMOD ‘souvenirs’.
For MATHMOD 2012, MATHMOD organisers have chosen a very special
MATHMOD Conference Box. The wooden box with MATHMOD
laser engraving was manufactured by disabled people in the rehabilitation
centre ATZ Schloss Schiltern (→ www.schloss-schiltern.at). The work in
the sheltered workshop (wood workshop) helps disabled people for integration
into the work process. For MATHMOD 2012 and the preceding
ASIM TCSE workshop 550 boxes were manufactured.
The box shows an interesting variation of the MATHMOD Nexus Logo –
a laser engraving in wood.
The MATHMOD Conference Box contains the printed MATHMOD 2012 Abstract Preprint
Volume (Troch, F. Breitenecker, eds.; ARGESIM Report no. S38; printed) and an USB stick
with the electronic MATHMOD 2012 Full Contributions Preprint Volume, furthermore the
MATHMOD 2012 Final Programme, vouchers for social events and MATHMOD Conference
Wine, ballot papers for Best Poster voting, MATHMOD 2012 Postcards - Algorithmic Art
Prints, and some gadgets. After MATHMOD 2012, this box is ideally suited for storing notebook
accessories, etc.
In the MATHMOD 2012 Conference Bag, a shopping bag, participants find information
material about Vienna, about Vienna University of Technology, maps for public transport,
information material about modelling and simulation tools from the sponsoring companies
Maplesoft, Mathworks, Comsol, XJTEK-AnyLogic, Rand Service, and Hansa PLM. Furthermore
it is planned to put sample copies of SNE Simulation Notes Europe into the bag, as well
as information about the main co-sponsor IFAC.
The MATHMOD 2012 Conference Wine –
‘Blaufränkisch’ and ‘Zweigelt’ from vintner Wachter -
Wiesler, with vineyards in Deutschschützen and Eisenberg,
Burgenland, Austria - is a real souvenir, to be
tasted at home with family and friends, to remember
MATHMOD 2012 and to think over attending MATH-
MOD 2015. Participants will get a bottle of their choice
on Friday, February 17, 2012, at the conference desk
(voucher in the wooden MATHMOD conference box.
MATHMOD 2012 Algorithmic Art Print. Also at
MATHMOD 2012 we have prepared for the participants
a small unique algorithmic art print as present:
postcards with motives from the Ocean algorithmic
art series by Vlatko Ceric. Participants will
find in the conference box two postcards, with different
motives; one postcard has already a stamp, so
that participants can send home the card as greetings
from MATHMOD 2012.
Exhibition and Display
The MATHMOD 2012 commercial sponsors Maplesoft, Mathworks, Comsol, XJTEK-
AnyLogic, Rand Service, and Hansa PLM inform about their products and tools for modelling
and simulation in the Exhibition Area (stands and display tables) located in green area, second
floor, opposite Cafe Simulation. The commercial sponsors introduce into their products
also in tutorials.
