In 1962, Jackie Hart moved to Naples, Florida, from Boston with her husband and children. Wanting something

herself Miss Dreamsville. The racially segregated town falls in love with Miss Dreamsville, but doesn’t know what
to make of Jackie, who welcomes everyone into her book club, including a woman who did prison time for
allegedly killing her husband, a man of questionable sexual preference, a young divorcee, as well as a black
woman. By the end of this novel, you’ll be wiping away the tears of laugher and sadness, and you just may
become a bit more hopeful that even the most hateful people can see the light of humanitarianism, if they just
give themselves a chance.

strange corners of the store, all according to some elaborate, long-standing arrangement with gnomic Mr.
Penumbra. The store must be a front for something larger, Clay concludes, and soon he has embarked on a
complex analysis of the customers’ behaviour and roped his friends into helping him figure out just what’s going
on. But once they bring their findings to Mr. Penumbra, they discover the secrets extend far beyond the walls of
the bookstore.
