<strong>IASF</strong> <strong>Roma</strong> - STATUS REPORTfor the Visiting CommitteeRef: <strong>IASF</strong>-RM-VC-001/07DATA: 19 November 2007Page: 42/134The following Facilities and Laboratories are available at <strong>IASF</strong> <strong>Roma</strong>:• Large “Integration Room” for Assenbly, Integration and Test (AIT) of experimentsplanned on board Stratospheric Balloon Flights• Class 100,000 Clean Room actually hosting the Spare FM/QF IBIS Model, the INTEGRALS/C simulator and GSE (planned to be maintained till end of INTEGRAL Operations, i.e.2012)• IBIS/INTEGRAL Control Room and Calibration data storage• Class 100,000 Clean Room for Assembly and Storage of Space borne planetologicalExperiments• Criogenic Laboratory for Microcalorimetry dedicated to X-ray Spectroscopy from Space• Laboratory for High Energies and Polarimetry from Space• Laboratory for Solid State CZT-CdTe space borne detectors• Mechanical Workshop• INTEGRAL Computing Centre with 30 PCs/Servers and 50Terabyte data storage• AGILE Computing Centre• Thermal Vacuum System (1 cubic meter)• “Weatherport” Structure and associated facilities for AIT of stratospheric balloonexperiment (can be eventually demounted and installed at the launch site, i.e. Svalbaldor Artic side)• Mobile Data Receiving and Storage Station, used in several balloon campaign. Can beintegrated with a Cesium based Atomic Clock• Polarised X-Ray beam operative at different soft to hard X-Ray energiesObservational facilities• Optical Telescope TRC70 located in Monte Autore (University Laboratoty use; initially builtfor Gamma ray bursts optical automatic follow up)• Optical Telescope MEADE located in Ventotene island (outreach and educationl use)• Optical Telescope TRT (three Reflection Telescope), located at <strong>IASF</strong> for testing the 3reflections technique for ground and space applications42
