Introduction• Nature of Injury/Disease Classification;• Bodily Location of Injury/Disease Classification;• Mechanism of Incident Classification; and• Agency Classification.Each classification includes a summary of the classification and a detailed listing thatincorporates inclusions and exclusions for many of the codes. For the Nature, BodilyLocation and Agency classifications, a detailed alphabetical index is included.Not all reported cases of injury or disease will involve straightforward coding. Theinquiry should include all details of the circumstances surrounding the case so that allinformation necessary to make a decision is available.
