STANDING ORDERS OF BOARD OF REVENU(2) (a) The Special <strong>of</strong>ficer appointed for land acquisition may sanction thefollowing transfers and carry out the consequential changes in the revenueaccounts. Without reference to or the intervention <strong>of</strong> the Revenue Divisional Officersconcerned:-(i)(ii)(b)(c)(i)(iii)(iii)(iv)transfers to Public Works Departments poramboke <strong>of</strong> assessed wasteand poramboke lands at the disposal <strong>of</strong> the State Government whichare required for the public work, andTransfers to Public Works Department poramboke, <strong>of</strong> channels carttracksand footpaths shown as details in private holdings which aresub-divided and reserved in connection with the public work afterpublication <strong>of</strong> notices inviting objections to transfer and withoutacquiring such portions.The Special <strong>of</strong>ficer may make payments <strong>of</strong> the compensation amountwhile camping in the village immediately after closing the awardenquiry and passing the award.The Special Officer may carry out the changes in the village and thetaluk accounts without reference to the Revenue Divisional Officersconcerned in accordance with the following instructions.While carrying out the changes both in the village and the talukaccounts and inserting the new maps in the karnams, and the talukcopies <strong>of</strong> the Field Measurements Books, the Special Officer shouldalso attend to the cancellation <strong>of</strong> old sketches, correction <strong>of</strong> sidenumbers in the field maps affected and amendment <strong>of</strong> the demarcationsketches and stone registers.The entry <strong>of</strong> the changes in the diglot register should follow the form <strong>of</strong>the diglot register, the blank pages being neatly ruled and all thecolumns entered.The Special Officer should intimate the new numbers assigned; to theSurvey party, as soon as the survey has been finished or immediatelyafter the passing <strong>of</strong> the award without waiting till the changes areincorporated in the maintained set <strong>of</strong> maps and in the village and thetaluk accounts.The Circle <strong>of</strong>ficer or District Survey or may transfer the maintainableset <strong>of</strong> maps <strong>of</strong> the villages in estates to the Survey Party and get themback after all the new changes have been incorporated.74
