He livedin Charlotte most of his life. After heretired, he and his wife, Becky, movedto Garden City, S.C., where they livedfor 26 years before returning to Huntersvillein 2000.He graduated from Central HighSchool where he played baseball. Hestarted caddying for golfers at <strong>Carolina</strong>Golf Club, later <strong>Carolina</strong> CountryClub, and became a scratch golfer,winning tournaments throughout theSoutheast.Mr. Kelley worked in textile chemicalsales with Borne Chemical Co. his entirelife.His wife, Rebecca T. Kelley, precededhim in death.Survivors include daughters Judy Parrottand husband, Buddy, Cornelius, andPat Power and husband, Jan, Denver;s<strong>on</strong>, Mike Kelley and wife, Janice, Pensacola,Fla.; six grandchildren; and eightgreat-grandchildren.A graveside service will be held at 2p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, at Forest LawnWest, Charlotte. In Miami, she workedas a BellSouth teleph<strong>on</strong>e operator for30 years. She remained in Miami afterretiring to care for her mother, who livedto age 97.In 1997, she moved to North <strong>Carolina</strong>to live with s<strong>on</strong> Carl Bleeker andhis wife, Nee Nee.
