Duty free import <strong>of</strong> samples upto Rs 100,000 for all exporters(Rs.300,000 for gems and jewellery sector) shall be allowed asper terms and conditions <strong>of</strong> Customs notification.Exports <strong>of</strong> bonafide trade and technical samples <strong>of</strong> freelyexportable item shall be allowed without any limit.Import under 2.28 Import under lease financing shall be available under EPCGLease FinancingScheme, EOU / SEZ scheme. Consumables suchas paints, printed material, pamphlets, literature etc. pertainingto exhibits need not be re-exported / re-imported.Import Policy 2.30 Policy relating to general provisions regarding import <strong>of</strong> capitalgoods, raw materials, intermediates, components, consumables,spares, parts, accessories, instruments and other goods is givenin Chapter 2 <strong>of</strong> FTP.<strong>General</strong> Procedure 2.31 Wherever an import Authorisation, including CCP, is required underfor Licensing <strong>of</strong>FTP, procedure contained in this chapter shall be applicable.Restricted Goods2.32 Import <strong>of</strong> Metallic Waste and Scrap2.32.1 Import <strong>of</strong> any form <strong>of</strong> metallic waste, scrap will be subject to thecondition that it will not contain hazardous, toxic waste, radioactivecontaminated waste / scrap containing radioactive material, anytype <strong>of</strong> arms, ammunition, mines, shells, live or used cartridge orany other explosive material in any form either used or otherwise.25
