Eligibility 2.74.2 Facility <strong>of</strong> electronic filing <strong>of</strong> applications shall be available to allexporters.Procedure 2.74.3 An exporter would be able to file his application on DGFT websiteat http://dgft.gov.in/. Application will then be processed inaccordance with prevalent rules and regulations.Applicant will have to visit concerned <strong>of</strong>fice to hand-over hardcopy <strong>of</strong> application, along with requisite documents includingapplication fee. Authorisation shall be issued on receipt <strong>of</strong> hardcopies <strong>of</strong> documents as mentioned above, after due scrutiny asprescribed in HBP v1.Fiscal Incentives for 2.74.4 Following deductions in Application Fee would be admissible forEDIapplications signed digitally and / or where application fee is paidelectronically through EFT (electronic fund transfer)Sr. No. Mode <strong>of</strong> ApplicationFee Deduction (as a% <strong>of</strong> normalapplication fee)1 Digitally signed 25%2 Application fee payment 25%vide EFT3 Both digitally signed as well 50%as use <strong>of</strong> EFT for payment <strong>of</strong>application feeBenefits 2.74.5 Facility will reduce unnecessary physical interface with DGFT. Itwill enable faster processing, speedier communication <strong>of</strong>deficiencies, if any, and on-line availability <strong>of</strong> application processingstatus.2.74.6 Authorisation issued using DGFT Electronic Application Systemshall be transmitted electronically to Customs through EDI Mode.This shall also obviate need for verification <strong>of</strong> Authorisations beforeallowing clearance.New EDI Initiatives 2.74.7 To further improve quality <strong>of</strong> services some new EDI Initiativesare being taken by DGFT.With effect from 1.7.<strong>2008</strong>, the electronic message exchangebetween Customs and DGFT in respect <strong>of</strong> Advance Authorisationand EPCG Scheme would become operational.43
