DIVISION 0 - BIDDING REQUIREMENTS, CONTRACT FORMS AND CONDITIONS OF THECONTRACTDocument 00860 - <strong>Safety</strong> <strong>Management</strong>a. Review all subcontractor and sub-tier contractor’s Site Specific <strong>Safety</strong>Programs and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) for compliance withapplicable Capital Improvement Project, State and Federal Standardsand ensure that they receive a copy and are briefed on Document 00860– <strong>Safety</strong> <strong>Management</strong>.b. Perform or ensure that all subcontractors and sub tier contractorsemployees have received a site specific safety orientation prior tobeginning work. This is in addition to the <strong>Port</strong>’s safety orientation.c. Perform daily safety inspections <strong>of</strong> the Contractor and Subcontractor’sproject to evaluate the project for eliminate unsafe conditions and/orpractices, and take the appropriate corrective action when required.d. Immediately report all injuries <strong>of</strong> personnel, vehicle accidents, nearmiss incidents and property damage and insure immediate correctiveaction is taken. Assist in the preparation <strong>of</strong> all accident investigationsand reporting procedures and ensure reports are submitted within 24-hours.e. Ensure meaningful, weekly safety meetings are held for all on-siteemployees. Provide the job foremen with appropriate trainingmaterials to conduct weekly “tool box” safety meetings and attendsafety meetings to evaluate their effectiveness. Maintaindocumentation <strong>of</strong> topics discussed and attendees, with copiessubmitted to the TCI or included with Contractors Daily ConstructionReport.f. Be responsible for the control, availability, and use <strong>of</strong> necessary safetyequipment, including personal protective equipment and apparel forthe employees.g. Shall attend a monthly safety committee meeting scheduled by theProgram <strong>Safety</strong> Director to discuss and resolve relevant issues relatedto safety and health.6. Contractor <strong>Safety</strong> Officer/Pr<strong>of</strong>essional(s) not performing their duties inaccordance with this Document, shall be replaced at the <strong>Port</strong>’s discretion by anindividual meeting the requirements <strong>of</strong> this section. In addition, the Contractor<strong>Safety</strong> Officer/Pr<strong>of</strong>essional(s) may not be removed from this contract orreplaced without the <strong>Port</strong>’s advanced written approval. The Contractor shallnotify the TCI and Program <strong>Safety</strong> Director when this person cannot be on dutywhile work is being performed and shall submit the name(s) and qualifications<strong>of</strong> the individual assigned to perform said duties.Rev. 10/31/0600860-7 Tenant
