Youth and Oil & Gas Governance inGhanaonly 600,000 living in the Upper West Region. If the questionnaireshad been distributed equally, the answers from the lesserpopulated regions would have had a greater influence on the totalnumbers which would have distorted the results of the study.Therefore a distribution key for the questionnaires was created accordingto the population percentages of each region. As a result,the quantity of questionnaire varied from one region to another.In effect, 1212 questionnaires were sent to Ashanti Region, whileonly 161 were administered in the Upper West Region.It was mentioned before, the researchers aimed at getting answerswhich cut across the youth of Ghana. This means that thesurvey could not only be conducted in the bigger cities but alsoin smaller towns and rural areas. The administrators of the studyfrom FES and you-net therefore identified one village, one districtcapital and the capital city in each region to distribute the questionnairesfor each region. For example, in Greater Accra, 364questionnaires each were completed in Mallam, Tema and CentralAccra.46
