GRASS-MANAGER PNEUMATICSTAR
Airseeder
The good plant stock ofolder grassland is in adelicate
balance that depends on soil, weather and cultivation.
When molehills and other damage to the sward surface
after the winter season the grassland needs to berevitalised.
Extreme drought in the previous year, damage done by
grubs orcultivation faults may have harmed it as well.
Bare patches need to be filled without delay and lastingly
in order to avoid aloss of yield and weeds taking over. The
drag-devices traditionally used in spring are athing of the
past and only work the surface. This increases the chances
of molehills and other bare spots being compressed.
Furthermore, they do not open the sward and only
create little contact surface for apossible over- or
aftersowing procedure.
Grassland requires an aggressive approach opening
sward and soil for over- and aftersowing in order to
stimulate grass density.
GUARANTEED SUCCESS
WITH YOUR GRASSLAND CARE
Einböck´s grassland cultivator “GRASS-MANAGER” combined
with our airseeder “PNEUMATICSTAR” works the sward in an
unbeatably efficient way. Anumber of special equipment
options are offered. They are geared tothe needs of the
user (cultivation procedures or soil type)
The airseeder “PNEUMATICSTAR” will allow you to undersow
various crops. Sowing in clover or clover/grass into grain
can yield up to 100 kg of nitrogen. Greening fields after a
grain harvest is avery beneficial ecological measure due to
the good nitrogen content. Undersowing grass into maize
will have the following advantages:
· better passable ground during
harvest and fertilisation
· suppression of late-germinating weeds
· bonding of nitrogen in autumn allowing for an
efficient use of liquid manure
· improvement of ground fertility
· closing bare spots (tread damage, spread molehills)
· reduced use of herbicides
INCREASING FODDER QUALITY
STOPPING UNDESIRABLE DEVELOPMENTS
Our GRASS-MANAGER features astable sectional
steel tube frame which can be used as one or can be folded
mechanically or hydraulically depending on the desired working width.
By using top quality materials and by aiming at amost robust construction we
enable you to put additional pressure onthe tines of the six-row tine sectors.
This is possible through the frame and the top link and may be
necessary under extreme ground conditions.
Depending on the working width the GRASS MANAGER is led by two or four airfilled
rubber tyres. These support wheels will not let the round steel spring tines
penetrate the ground too deeply under loose soil conditions. The tine sectors
will adjust to any ground elevations through the self-aligning suspension
system. The tine tube istorsion- resistant and guarantees the same tine
position over the entire frame length so that the tine aggressiveness will remain
constant. This is of particular importance under hard soil conditions. The directional
stability of the tines is effected through an exact guidance by plastic holders. The
tines will therefore always face exactly the same direction, thus also significantly
increasing the vibration effect. The holders will not let the tines become
twisted or loose. The spring coils of the tine start below the
tine holders. This is why the tines can vibrate better and
why each oftheir movements comes from the spring.
Afront levelling plate protected against overload by a
compound spring can be mounted at the front of the six-row tine section. This
plate is height-adjustable and will spread and level molehills in amost evenly
fashion. Itisalso especially suited for rubbing in and spreading cow pats and
manure. Mounting it on your GRASS MANAGER at alater point
will not pose aproblem.
The front-mounted TOOL-CARRIER bar with parallel, spring-mounted levelling plates that are adjustable by aholeraster
and suited for large molehills is currently only available for the GRASS-MANAGER or the 6m PNEUMATICSTAR
airseeder.

The hydraulic tine adjustment
makes using the GRASS-MANAGER or
the PNEUMATICSTAR airseeder even
easier in changing soil conditions. Itis
also of advantage when getting the
equipment ready for the transport
mode sincethe tines should bebrought
into alevel position
Of course, mounting it at alater
point is possible as well.
The support wheels are heightadjustable
in ahalf-hole raster. The
wheel base between the middle wheels
is 1.45 m. For an additional charge it
can be extended to 1.8 m.
The tine tube is torsion- resistant and
guarantees the same tine position over
the entire frame length so that the tine
aggressiveness will remain constant.
The aggressiveness of the
spring tines can be adjusted with
a central lever that allows for five
different positions. The tines should
be brought into alevel position for
putting the equipment in the
transport mode.
Small molehills can also be levelled by
grassland plates which are mounted directly in front of the tines.
RELIABLE TECHNOLOGY
THE RESULT OFYEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Our serial tine with a
diameter of 7mm and a
length of 490 mm is ideally
suited for average conditions.
If the appliance isonly used
for grassland cultivation the
8mm tine is preferable.
For grassland or
tough soil conditions
the tine with adiameter
of 8mm and alength of
490 mm should beused.
This tine is the most
common one.
60 tines on 1.5 mworking width
make a penetration distance of2.5 cm .
Only this distance will provide the
desired effectiveness.
For rocky soil we
recommend this straight
tine so that the rocks are
not moved to the surface.
It has adiameter of 8mm
and alength of 490 mm
Units with aworking width of 4.5 m
and 5mare available as seen in this
picture. They come in versions that
fold in mechanically or hydraulically,
supported by a spring mechanism.

PNEUMATICSTAR
When the GRASS-MANAGER is equipped with apneumatic seeder it turns into aPNEUMATICSTAR.
This PNEUMATICSTAR airseeder, to which re-consolidation rollers can be added, is the perfect tool for
oversowing, aftersowing, undersowing, intercrop sowing or new sowing.
It lets you sow all the standard seeds and their mixtures up to asize of 5mm. Depending on the amount of seed
and the sowing speed you can set it to anywhere from 1kg to 300kg per hectare in asimple adjustment step. The
seed container comes in versions of 227 litre or300 litre capacity. Astirring shaft will keep the seed mix
from de-mixing and from forming bridges in the container.
The flexible drive shaft flanged to the rubber support wheel transfers the power to an infinitely variable oil-immersed
gearbox, which inturn powers the sowing and the stirring shafts by means of achain drive.
The seed roller conveys the seed to the eight divided and separated outlets via PVC seed hoses to the baffle plates
from where itisexactly distributed to the entire sowing width. Since the seeds are expelled pneumatically the wind
factor plays amuch less important role than with mechanical seeders. The air pressure conveying the seeds to the
baffle plates is produced either by an electrical, hydraulic, shaft-driven fan oraseparate fan attachment.
The technical data listed here refer to grass seed that istobe sown at avolume of 40kg/ha ataspeed of 10km/h.
If alarger amount is required, if the speed should be increased or if larger, heavier seed (grain) is to be used we
ask you to contact ussowecan arrange the best possible combination of seeding wheel and fan type.
The electrical fan package comes with aseparate set of cables and acontrol unit that can
easily be mounted inside the tractor cabin. This will allow you to switch
the fan unit on or off as required.

GRASSLAND IMPROVEMENT
SOWING, WORKING IN, RECONSOLIDATION
The function of the distribution baffle plates,
which are positioned just above the ground in the third and
fourth tine row, is to guarantee the best possible distribution
of the seeds in the previously prepared soil.
The fourth, fifth and sixth row oftines are also responsible for
working in the seeds easily into the soil.
Even aworking width of 12 mcan
be reduced to a transport width
of only 3m.
The PNEUMATICSTAR airseeder is also
available with press rollers for soil
reconsolidation. These are made of
farmflex rubber and thus cannot
clog up.
The press rollers are mainly used for
first sowing or for grassland in rocky
terrain and large bare spots so that the
area is consolidated again. The rollers
are also recommended for dry areas in
order to press the seeds into the soil.
These short press rollers (three per
1.5 mworking width) are connected via
anaxialswing coupling and will splendidly
adapt to uneven terrain.
