Wine SectionStewards: Mr & Mrs A RhodesJudge: to be confirmed1st Prize: £1.50 2nd Prize: £1.00 3rd Prize: 50p136. 1 bottle of Red Wine dry or sweet by a kit or own recipe137. 1 bottle of White Wine dry or sweet by a kit or own recipe138. 1 or ½ Bottle (clear) of Homemade Liqueur139. 1 bottle of Home Brewed Beer140. 1 bottle of Home Brewed Cider141. 1 bottle of traditional drink such as meade or metheglin142. 1 bottle of Childrens cordial or non alcoholic punchRules for ExhibitorsGeneral All wines to have been made by the exhibitor by the process offermentation without fortification (ie. without adding spirits).Labels A stick-on label supplied before the show by the entries Secretary isto be affixed by the exhibitor detailing the class (eg, Red, Dry) and theexhibitors number, approximately 1” above the bottom of the bottlebetween the seams.Bottles Wines to be exhibited in a clear glass bottle of approximately 70clcapacity with rounded shoulders (eg. Sauterne type).Corks Only flanged corks with white plastic tops.Presentation Wine bottles should be so filled that when the cork is pushedright home, the air space in the bottle is between 0.5” and 1” depth.Entries All exhibitor’s bottles to be placed on the stall by the exhibitor orrepresentative by 10.00 am on the day of the show. (Any entries notcomplying with the rules will be eliminated).Judging will be carried out by panel of judges appointed by the OrganisingCommittee. The judge’s decision must be accepted as final.Objections Any exhibitor wishing to raise any query must do so to theentries Secretary within one hour of the public opening of the show.These rules for exhibitors supersede those laid down in theofficial show schedule.11
