Her professionalinterests include the neuroscience of child and adolescent psychopathology, specifically including OCDand childhood schizophrenia.Jessica Dreifuss, Ph.D. , recently joined the staff as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow after completing her doctoratein Clinical Psychology at the <strong>University</strong> of Georgia. Jessie is very excited about joining the research teamin the Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse. She is particularly looking forward to increasing her knowledge andproficiency with substance use disorders and their treatment, expanding and refining her research skills, and immersingherself in the NIDA Clinical Trials Network.CTN Research in the NewsMain outcome findings from the NIDA CTN-0010 study examining treatments for opioid-addicted adolescentswere summarized in the recent issue of NIDA Notes [Vol. 23 (1), pages. 8-9]. The aim of the studywas to determine if a 12-week course of outpatient buprenorphine/naloxone (Bup/Nal) plus psychosocialtreatment resulted in fewer opioid positive urine tests at 3 monthly evaluation points among opioid dependentadolescents and young adults (ages 14-21) than the usual treatment, which was detoxification plus psychosocialtreatment alone. Mercy <strong>Hospital</strong> Recovery Center (Westbrook, ME) was a participating CommunityTreatment Program in the CTN-0010 study from the Northern New England Node.
