Here’s how we’llhelp you to reach your fullpotential.Learning Resources Centres (libraries)The University has four Learning ResourcesCentres (LRCs), one on each campus, whichprovide access to a total of 368,598 books,158,000 e-books, 31,511 DVDs and audiovisualmaterial, 73,000 e-journals and 1,000 printedjournals. The main LRCs are open 24-hoursa day during term-time and have over 3,000student facing PCs.Academic supportAll our students are allocated a personal tutorwho will provide guidance with general aspectsof learning. Under our peer-assisted learningscheme, undergraduate students can alsoreceive help and advice from more experiencedstudents. Postgraduate students are able to usethe facilities at our Graduate Centres – dedicatedspaces on each campus, ideal for private study,meetings or computer use.Innovative teaching methodsAs well as traditional teaching methods, such aslectures, seminars, tutorials, lab and studio work,we use a range of innovative teachingand assessment methods.Depending on your degree course, these include:• an electronic voting system at <strong>Kingston</strong> Hill;or• video, online and poster presentationassessments.Online learning<strong>Study</strong>Space is our online learning tool thathelps you study by giving you online accessto teaching resources, including lecture notes,presentations and discussion boards.
