The groom is the second son ofLemuel Parker of this place.Mrs Tom C Pont<strong>in</strong>g had a severe accident. She was gett<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>to the buggy with son-<strong>in</strong>-law,Wheeler Adams to come to town, when she lost her balance and fell from the buggy whilereach<strong>in</strong>g over to 'tuck7 her dress. She suffered bruises to her back and lower extremities as aresult of the fall.Christopher Yeisley, an old resident of the community, died at home of son-<strong>in</strong>-law, GeorgeW<strong>in</strong>ter, southeast, Tuesday. He was near 80 years of age and had lived here 40 years prior to hisdeath. He was born <strong>in</strong> Virg<strong>in</strong>ia on 3 Jan 1810 and was aged 77years just a few days ago. He moved to Kentucky with his parents where he grew to manhood;and <strong>in</strong> 1834, married Sallie Stipp. Fourteen children were born to them, 8 of whom are stillliv<strong>in</strong>g. From Kentucky, he moved to this locality 33 years ago last fall where he has s<strong>in</strong>cecont<strong>in</strong>ually lived. He died at the residence of his daughter, Mrs Emily Keiser on Tuesday PM ofheart trouble. Funeral was held from her residence to the Old Ston<strong>in</strong>gton Cemetery where he waslaid to rest by the side of his wife. He also leaves 2 sisters, 2 brothers and several grand childrento mourn his pass<strong>in</strong>g. Uncle Johnnie, as he was known, was also known as the 'VillageRhymer'. He was the janitor of the school house and on his birthday, he wrote a rhyme about hisfuture, and this was to be the last he ever wrote.
