Rabbi Robert Wolkoff’s D’varTorah was about this week’s Parsha, Joseph andhis 10 brothers and their first sin. We have 391families and 27 new members. The outsideauditor will submit his report on our financessometimes in the month of January.We are doing well financially in the areas of thecaterer, dues, High Holiday Pledges, Kiddish,and the Nursery and the Religious Schools.The Rabbi was impressed with the evaluationsthat where given out to the nursery schoolparents this month.The Adult Education Committee has come upwith many varied classes. and knows that peoplewill attend.The Cantor wishes to thank everyone whohelped with the various committees that heldand will hold future events for this year. Also,thanks to the Religious Committee, for runningservices so smoothly. He reminded us to countour blessings and be happy. Remember thatpeople who attend services tend to be happierpeople than the population at large. He recommendsa book about positive thinking by Dr.Martin Seligman. In the future, he said, there willbe a class on getting a job in this bad economy.President reported that our number ofcongregants is increasing. The Bikur CholimCommittee is having a big impact on people.We are looking forward to Casino Night and toAmanda Dillman as our new USY advisor.Looking to establishing a Marketing andPublicity Committee. And, lastly, we wantpeople to talk to people other than their friendsafter services.
