4. Parking outside the LFS‣ From Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3It is forbidden to park alongside the slip road. Complying wit this rule is crucial in the zonesituated between the 2 school sites in order to facilitate the buses traffic. No vehicle canpark in this area even for a short while.It is strongly advised to park in the car parks located near the school (when you arrive at the trafficlight, take Serangoon North Avenue 1 on your right, drive 150m and turn on your right again). Adetailed map is available below and on the website.‣ From Kensington Park RoadAccess from Kensington Park Road is strictly reserved to the staff.Parking lots are available next to the school.In order to avoid any traffic jam or obstruction for the residents, it will not be possible to parkyour car in the streets.The Authorities have been already informed about this entrance for pedestrians andcyclists only and the Police will regularly patrol to ensure that there is no obstruction orinconvenient for the residents.If these measures are not respected, this entrance will be definitely shut down for everyone(including pedestrians and cyclists)MAP OF THE AREA AND ACCESS TO CAR PARKS5. Transport by taxiNo taxi is authorized to enter the school premises even in case of heavy rain. They have to stopalongside the slip road BUT not in front of the main gate.6. Note to all vehicles: No vehicle (but Woodlands Transport buses) is allowed to use the internaldriveway. No vehicle (but Woodlands Transport buses) is allowed to enter or exit the schoolbetween 3.15pm and 3.45pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday / between 12.15pmto 12.45pm on Wednesday and Friday.7. Public transportsWe encourage you to take the public transports to come to the LFS: The following bus lines serve the school: 25, 73, 74, 76, 132, 165. The nearest MRT station is Ang Mo Kio.8. Pedestrians access Pedestrians can enter the school either from Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 or fromKensington Park Road. The pedestrians’ entry and exit must be done exclusivelyby the pedestrians’ gate near the main entry gate. In the morning, the children not taking the school bus and arriving alone oraccompanied by parents cannot enter the school before 7.50am. The parents accompanying the children must leave the school at 8.30am, at thelatest. Circulation within the school premises is not authorized during the schoolday, unless you get an appointment with teachers or staff members. In that case,you have to go to the guards’ desk, sign the register and wear the “visitor” badge. The LFS staff and School Board members must wear all the time theiridentity cards while they are within the school premises. In the afternoon, the parents picking up their children can enter the school only atthe end of the school day: i.e. at 3.15pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday;and at 12.15pm on Wednesday and Friday. At the end of the official school time, all the children not taking the bus and notdoing ECA, must be under their parents’ responsibility and must leave theschool as soon as possible. The parents whose the children take part in ECA must pick them up as soon asthe activity finishes but cannot stay inside the school during the activity. In case of cultural or sportive events occurring during the weekend or theevening time, no surveillance is provided by the LFS and the children must beunder their parents’ responsibility. They cannot enter the educational areas oruse the facilities (classrooms, playground, field, gymnasiums, etc…)Note: If you have children in Kindergarten & from CE2 to Terminale, thank you for referringto LFS Ang Mo Kio (LFS AMK) safety measures.The safety rules cannot be efficient without the help and the support of all the pupils, parents andstaff members.
